Q: Where did you come up with 'The Ravine' A: Honestly? I heard an old Ace of Base song with the lyrics 'I am standing here in my ravine'. I had a reflective moment, couldn't get the song out of my head, and decided it'd make a good heading for a site.
Q: What platform/programs do you use? A: I started this site using a Mac Os at system 7.5.5, upgraded from 7.5.1, and Adobe Photodelux. However, due to a rather unfortunate system failer, I was forced to upgrade (whooho!) so I'm now running on an ibook at system 9.02, with a graphite pen tablet. For software, I'm currently alternateing between Adobe Photoshop LE 5.0, Coral Painter Classic, and Arcsoft Photosuite. All very, very nice programs that I'd recommend to anyone.
Q: Will you post my art on your site? A: Currently, no, this is my own, private website. However, if I get enough interest I might put up some sort of 'guest gallery' in the future. For now, I recommend finding your own server. After all, you'd be be amazed at how many people started off with Geocities!
Q: Are you a student of fine art/animation/ect.? A: No; closest I've ever come to an art class was the art history course I took in my first year B.A. I'm pretty much self-taught and draw/paint for my own peice of mind, not because I have any intentions of going into animation or comics. I have however, been hired for minor works in graphic design and have no objections to being paid for my endovours ^_^. For the most part though, I'm an amature at heart, who's happy to remain so.
Q: Is there any significance to your 'She-Wolf' title? A: Seriously? 'She-Wolf' was my first character and I use to RP with her online. After a while I just started going around as 'She-Wolf', the name stuck. *shrug*
Q: Do you do requests/art exchanges/commissions? A: Rarely, yes, and no. I normally don't mind doing requests, but I ask that you be patient. No matter when I said I'd do it, that suddenly appearing, ten page report will always come first. I also do art exchanges, in fact, I prefer it! I don't do commissions, namely because I haven't found a very high demand. Of course, if you *want* to pay me for doing a pict, go right ahead, I won't stop you ;-). I also reserve the right to refuse requests/exchanges/etc for any reason, including if I'm booked solid or you want something that I won't/can't do. Basically if I agreed I'd do something, I'll do my best to see that it gets done. If you find it's taking waaayyy too long (over a week), just email me a reminder. After all ,even artists forget!
Q: Can I draw your characters? A: Go right ahead! All I ask is that if you plan to place set character(s) on a website, please remember to post a note stating who they belong to. You also have to let me see the image ;-). Send it either via email or, particularly if it's over 150K place it on your own server and send me the url. A link to my site isn't a requirement, but would be greatly appreciated!
